Within 78 days of a clash in Galwan on the night of June 15, the government has taken a tough action against China's mobile apps for the third time. The centre has put the ban on 118 apps including mobile gaming app Pubg on Wednesday. In India alone, Pubg has been downloaded by over 17.5 crore people.

Now, The Ministry of Information and Technology on Wednesday banned 118 including mobile game PUBG (player unknown mobile application). This step has been taken by the central government amid heavy tension between India and China along the LINE of Actual Control.

The Chinese Army People's Liberation Army has been on the LAC for the past several months and is trying to infiltrate into Laddakh on the Indian border. Earlier, India had banned the 59 Chinese app on June 29 amid tension on the border. The app that was banned in June included Tik Tok, UC Browser, Gender, Share it, V Chat, Vigo.

The Government of India has made another digital strike against China. The Ministry of Information and Technology has banned 118 mobile applications including mobile game Pubg on Wednesday. This is India's third digital strike on China's mobile apps. Earlier in June, India had banned China's 47 apps, including Tik Tok, and thereafter banned 59 Chinese apps at the end of July. The government has referred to national security behind the decision. In a communique issued in this regard, the ministry said that the government has banned 118 mobile apps which pose a threat to India's sovereignty and integrity, India's defence, state security and public order. The ministry said that it has received a number of complaints from various sources and there have been reports which revealed that many mobile apps available on Android and iOS platforms were stealing users ' data and sending them out of India in a chaotic manner.
Restrictions on these applications
This list of banned apps includes many popular applications. These include popular games Pubg Mobile, Pubg Mobile Lite, Baidu, Super Clean, Share save of Xiaomi, V chat work, cyber Hunter and its light version, game of Sultans, go SMS Pro, Marvel Super War, Ludo World-Ludo superstar, rise of kingdoms, gallery vault, smart applock (app protect), dual space, cleaner-phone booster, Lamore, Sina News and Tencent watchlist, etc.

India-China border dispute continues to escalate
The border dispute between India and China for more than three months has also been increasing steadily. While India is in favour of settling the dispute peacefully, China is only talking and carrying out provocative actions. Recently, there has been a clash between the two countries near the Pangong Lake. In a portion of about eight to ten kilometres on the LAC, the PLA tried to stop patrolling of Indian troops. However, this attempt has been foiled.
